We believe that our customers, and their customers, demand the highest ethical standards to create long lasting relationships.
Our ethical policy is based upon Fair Trade policies, and we have agreed this with all of our suppliers. If we find that one of our suppliers, or one of our customers, falls short of this agreed approach, we shall do everything we can to implement a change of practice to that we can meet and exceed our standards.
At the heart of this, we ensure that our producer partners are not involved in any new testing of products on animals and haven't been since we started (2008). Our safety data sheets are based upon information from historical data and safety assessments based upon modelling by specialist consultants through participation in REACH registration.
We believe that business ethics is a journey, where aspirations are constantly moving forward, and that we can support the process by working closely with our partners to achieve the objectives. Only in the most extreme instances will we walk away from a relationship.
In 2014 we introduced our supply partner visit program. The purpose of this is to understand our partners full capabilities, raw materials, supply chains and local issues. We discuss our customer expectations and look to work with our partners to exceed these. Each visit has follow up actions so our supply becomes more robust every year. This helps us ensure our ethical policy is well understood and adhered to in through the supply chain.
We also have the detailed knowledge of the production process and product so be able to answer our customers questions and target development projects to partners with the right capabilities.
In 2017 we introduced ethical working practices including anti-slave policies as part of our visits and follow ups.
