Origanum vulgare is native to the Mediterranean region, with countries in this area being the biggest producers of the aromatic plant in the world. This is due to the favourable climate conditions that this herb require to grow.
The main component of Origanum vulgare is carvacrol which comprises around 60 to 80% of the oil. Carvacrol is found in many aromatic plants that are typically used as spices for culinary purposes such as Thyme. Oregano essential oil is reported to possess antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial properties, to name a few.
This product is supplied in 1kg aluminium bottles, 5kg and 25kg plastic fluorinated HDPE containers.
